Hi there, I’m ALEXIS MCGLYNN.
A Midlife Transition & Performance Coach dedicated to guiding you through life’s pivotal changes. My mission is to help you embrace midlife as an opportunity for growth, reinvention, and renewed vitality. I know the terrain of transition personally and professionally, and I bring both expertise and empathy to every coaching conversation.
My approach is grounded in a unique blend of professional training and real-life experience. I’m a Master Certified Hypnotherapist and NLP Practitioner, and I’ve trained with Chip Conley’s Modern Elder Academy (MEA) in their renowned Navigating Transitions framework. To deepen my expertise, I’m currently pursuing an M.A. in Spirituality, Mind, and Body at Teachers College, Columbia University – a program that aligns with my commitment to integrating science, psychology, and wisdom traditions in my practice. This rich background means I can offer you a holistic coaching experience that is both evidence-based and deeply human.
I believe midlife is not a crisis to endure, but a threshold to a new chapter. My coaching philosophy is rooted in the idea that by approaching change with curiosity and courage, you can unlock clarity and new possibilities for yourself. In our work together, we might use tools like mindfulness practices, reflective journaling, values assessments, and goal-setting exercises – all tailored to you. These practices (many drawn from MEA’s science-backed toolkit) will help you build resilience, uncover your inner wisdom, and design a future that excites you. And while my methods are grounded in research and best practices, I never lose sight of heart and humor – I meet you with warmth, understanding, and even a bit of laughter when needed.
